View 250+ integrationsTanzu Observability provides in-depth observability across modern cloud applications and infrastructure with metrics, logs, traces and event data collected across the entire IT stack.
Tanzu Observability records full distributed traces of your cloud native applications, correlating it all to metrics and logs within application service maps. Troubleshoot and optimize application performance faster with unified views.
Tanzu Observability enables DevOps teams to monitor modern, cloud native applications, microservices and serverless. With advanced and accurate alerting, powered by AI/analytics and query language, DevOps engineers can define smart, adaptive, multi-threshold alert conditions, eliminating alert storms.
Tanzu Observability delivers instant real-time alerting on anomalies in your production applications, pinpointing the root-cause and reducing mean-time-to-resolution (MTTR).
Tanzu Observability retains full granularity for all your telemetry (1-sec bucket default, sub-1-sec with histograms) as data is archived. No down-sampling preserves 100% data fidelity. Accurately baseline to seasonality and historical trends.

Read the full storyWe have a simple and flexible pay-as-you-go model. Our consumption-based pricing is based on the rate at which you send metric data during the course of each month. This gives you the flexibility to start with any size application you want and scale up/down as needed. It’s not dependent on the number of hosts or the number of users. It’s highly suited for a cloud-optimized, container-based, dynamic environment.
Yes! The free offering is our Wavefront for Spring Boot Starter for developers. You get full application observability, delivered with free metrics, distributed traces, histograms and span logs. The free offering includes:

Talk to us. We have a lot of experience with different customers and applications and can help you estimate your costs. Pricing starts at $1.50 per data point per second (pps) monthly. To give you an idea, a typical host configuration that is sending 100 metrics every 10 seconds would cost $15 per host per month. The estimate is based on using the Telegraf agent (one of many collection methods) to send data. It provides comprehensive infrastructure metrics at up to 1 second resolution, with extra capacity for application and custom metrics. Your actual price may be lower based on quantity and frequency of metrics and applicable volume discounts.
No, you don’t pay any storage costs for your data.
We understand that you may occasionally have peaks and bursts of data that are not typical, and we don’t want to unfairly charge you for those. We measure the rate that is used for pricing as the 95th percentile of the one-hour averages of data rates for the month. This provides you with a no-cost buffer for occasional peaks and bursts.
Tanzu Observability supports metrics, traces, histograms, span logs and event data. Standard metrics and custom metrics are the same price. We have many customers who send us a combination of typical system metrics, application metrics (standard and custom), and even custom business metrics. For pricing details, please contact us.
Yes, you have complete control over how much data is sent and what that data is.
Tanzu Observability ingests, analyzes and visualizes data from all application delivery phases. As such, it’s fully integrated with OOTB integrations for Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, Tanzu Mission Control, Tanzu Application Service, Spring and Tanzu Application Catalog. Also, Tanzu for Kubernetes Operations features Tanzu Observability.
No. We don’t care where that data comes from. You can have as many or as few data collection agents (and integrations) as you like.
